"There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more."  ~ Lord Byron ~

Growing up in northern Arizona I had a passion (maybe a slight obsession) for horses and this was my gateway into what has now been coined as “overlanding” I guess you could say horses were the original overland vehicle. I liked to explore, and a horse offered me a way to go further than I could on foot.

As I got older I became intrigued with traveling via 4x4 as horses require a lot of work, time money, and the logistics of traveling via horseback are daunting - while vehicle travel was much more versatile. I fell into the world of vehicle-dependent travel. I worked for an overland magazine, where I was fortunate to have opportunities to grow my driving skills and do a lot of vehicle-based trips, even having the chance to take part in the worldwide E7 Expedition. I have an NPTC certification for winching/recovery and offroad driving. Now I am a full-time traveler, "On-Screen Tallent" a full video production company, Marketing Coordinator, and a whole lot more. So even though life has gotten a lot busier after leaving "normal" I love the constant learning, life pushes my boundaries constantly and I really can't imagine going back to what life used to be. The best part of living this way for me is being able to spend the majority of my time with my very favorite person in the world (Tim).
