We make a spur-of-the-moment choice to make an overnight passage north from Cape May up to New York City. We finally fulfill our goal of dropping anchor right next to the Statue of Liberty and we get to experience this city like we never have before. What a unique and special experience.

We have a wonderful calm (mostly) sail into Annapolis, and then we decide to continue north even though it feels like fall is starting to set in. We go through the historic C&D Canal (Chesapeake and Delaware Canal) and have an exciting sail in the Delaware River to a beautiful anchorage. What a day!
